Mountain rescue for walker after dogs spooked by gale force winds
Mountain rescuers in Snowdonia were called out at lunchtime on Christmas Eve to a walker stuck on the ridge between Carnedd Dafydd and Llewelyn when her four dogs became spooked by gale force winds.
Unable to move, she called for help and sheltered behind rocks, put on her spare clothing and got in a survival bag.
But Ogwen Valley mountain rescuers found the woman very cold despite her efforts and she was rewarmed with food and hot chocolate, before being dressed in Blizzard Protection Systems and Páramo Directional Clothing jackets. The team said :”Once warm enough to move, the whole pack was led down to Oggie base for rewarming and dog treats."
