Emergency services respond to crashes on county's roads

Two cars and a lorry have been involved in a crash on the A5 between Telford and Shrewsbury this evening.

The collision happened at 6pm on the westbound carriageway of the dual carriageway before Cluddley and the Preston island.

Emergency services responded and Shropshire fire and rescue service made the vehicles safe. It is not known if anyone was injured.

At 5.30pm firefighters from the north of the county responded to 999 calls reporting a collision on the Shrewsbury Road in Market Drayton.

A number of vehicles were involved.

No one was trapped and the fire crews ensured the vehicles were safe.
