Major Shropshire attraction now run by the National Trust is making changes - here's why
Blists Hill has recently reopened after being taken over by he National Trust
An industrial museum in the heart of the Ironbridge Gorge is making some changes following its recent reopening.
Blists Hill Victorian Town, near Madeley, reopened in May following a multi-month closure as the Ironbridge Gorge museums were taken into the care of the National Trust.
Following its reopening, however, the National Trust (NT) said it is now making some changes to the way people book.

In a statement on its social media channels, the NT said the changes mean more people can visit the attraction earlier in the day.
The NT said: “Based on the experiences of the first few weeks of booking we have made some changes to the booking system at Blists Hill.

“We have increased capacity for the earlier slots in the day meaning more visitors can come earlier to Blists Hill.
“At the same time we have also removed the need to book at all after 2.30pm - if you want to come after this time please just come along and pay (or show your membership card) at reception.
“Although we have now completed work on the IT upgrades for the site, high visitor numbers in the opening weeks have meant our car parks have often reached capacity, so we will continue using the booking system in the short term to help us manage this. “
Earlier this week, a section of Legges Way and Coalport Road near to the attraction was closed, due to a ‘void’ appearing in the surface of the road.
However, Telford & Wrekin Council said on Friday that the road should be open by the weekend, a spokesperson saying: “Tarmac is going in now and it will be open for the weekend.”
