The event, now in its fourth year, ventured to a new location in Whitchurch on Sunday. Sausage dog owners took a picturesque walk around the beautiful lake and enjoyed a day filled with festive fun.

The Christmas Dachshund Extravaganza featured dog-related stalls, countless photo opportunities and a dog-friendly café. Dachshunds and their owners were also able to meet 'Santa Paws' inside a grotto and enjoy free 'puppuccinos'.

Fancy dress competitions and a fabulous raffle with prizes donated by local businesses completed the event. Organised by Michelle Anderson, Julie Shaw and Avril Grattage, they said attendees travelled from as far away as Peterborough and South Wales to join in with the fun - raising a total of £4,042 in the process.

All proceeds from the event will go to charity 'Dedicated to Dachshunds with IVDD', which loans equipment to dachshunds with intervertebral disc disease (IVDD).
