Heidi, aged 9, puts her best foot forward for the RSPCA and raises more than £500
Heidi Organ rallied her friends to raise money for the RSPCA.
A nine-year-old has raised more than £500 for an animal charity by walking through a Shropshire wood.
Heidi Organ invited friends and family along for her charity walk.

Heidi, who lives in Bewdley and goes to school at Brindley Heath Academy in Kinver, said she organised the sponsored walk at Comer Woods in the Dudmaston Estate, near Bridgnorth, to raise money for the RSPCA after reading about their work at school.

She said: “I decided that I wanted to organise a sponsored walk when I found out about the charity RSPCA through books at school. It made me feel really sad to hear about how some animals can be mistreated, and it made me want to do something to help.”
She arranged a two-mile walk at Comer Woods with her friends from school and managed to raise £466 as well as an additional £95 from gift aid.
