Telford Police have issued a reminder that people must isolate if someone they live with has a positive Covid result.

Posting on Facebook, Telford Police said: "A man has been reported by the Ketley & Oakengates Safer Neighbourhood Team after he was found to have left his home address during a period of isolation following a positive Covid test within his household.

"If someone within your household tests positive for Covid, you must stay at home, even if you do not have any symptoms.

"By limiting contact between households in this way we are preventing the further spread of the virus.

"If you choose to ignore this and leave your home, not only do you risk receiving a fine, but you are also putting the health of others at risk and placing unnecessary further burden on our local NHS.

"To those of you that we see adhering to the rules every day, we thank you."
