Motorcyclist suffers minor injuries in Shrewsbury crash

A motorcyclist suffered minor injuries after a crash involving a car at Shrewsbury which resulted in the road being closed.

The male, who has not been named, was taken to hospital following the collision.

West Midlands ambulance spokesperson Jordan Eggington said: “We were called at 4.07pm on Saturday to reports of a road traffic collision involving a car and motorcycle at the junction of Crowmere Road and Monkmoor Road.

"We sent the Midlands Air Ambulance from Cosford, a land ambulance and paramedic officer to the scene.

"Crews treated a man, who was the motorcyclist, for injuries not believed to be life-threatening and he was conveyed to Royal Shrewsbury Hospital by land for further treatment.”

The driver of the car was unhurt.

West Mercia Police and the fire service assisted by closing the road and recovering the vehicle.
