Sign of the times in Future Fit battle
Mysterious signs are appearing all over Shropshire showing the distance to the Princess Royal and Royal Shrewsbury Hospitals.
The signs, like this one near St Mary’s Street in Newport, show how far it is from that point to the two hospitals.
It is not clear where the signs are coming from, but the link to the ongoing Future Fit debate is obvious.

The sign – which just gives two distances in miles and no other information – shows how much the travel distance varies.
The subtle message has been discussed on social media, including the popular Telford Memories page.
It is the latest in a number of campaigns to try and get people to have their say in the Future Fit debate.
