A spectacular garden for people with spinal injuries is to be built at Oswestry Orthopaedic Hospital.

The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic hospital has teamed up with gardening personality Bunny Guinness to create an Horatio's garden around the Midlands Centre for Spinal Injuries.

An appeal to fund the £600,000-plus project is being launched at this week's Chelsea Flower Show.

Patients will be able to use the garden in their beds and wheelchairs.

Janet Johnson who has been flat on her back in the unit for a several weeks said to be able go go outside in the fresh air and smell and touch the flowers would be wonderful.
