Multiple outlets including LBC, Daily Mail and The Express have shared the news of a mother travelling to Switzerland’s famed assisted dying centre Pegasos.

Wendy Duffy spoked to the Daily Mail and she revealed that she had paid Pegasos £10,000 to end her life and so that her “spirit can be free”.

In an exclusive interview with Daily Mail journalist Jenny Johnson, she said “I could step off a motorway bridge or a tower block but that would leave anyone finding me dealing with that for the rest of their lives”

Similarly, the Express has reported that Wendy Duffy has been unable to recover from the death of her only son, despite years of therapy and anti-depressants.

For Duffy, she has made the decision after the death of her son Marcus four years ago.

Her son, Marcus, died at the age of 23 and since then Duffy said she’s been unable to cope with his death since then.

Duffy who has no terminal illness hopes to end her life at the Swiss dying clinic this week.
