Firefighters scramble to huge tractor fire in south Shropshire

999 crews rushed to the scene

Fire crews were called to a tractor fire near Hughley on Saturday evening.

Two appliances from Much Wenlock and Telford Central fire stations attended the incident at 9:17pm, along with an operations officer.

The tractor was already extinguished when firefighters arrived. Crews used a hose reel jet to dampen down the vehicle and a thermal imaging camera to identify and monitor any remaining hot spots.

The incident was brought under control without further escalation, and firefighters ensured the area was safe before leaving the scene.
