'Endangered' animal leaves West Midlands Safari Park for breeding programme at Chessington World of Adventures
Manilow has gone to live at Chessington World of Adventures Resort.
A rare zebra born at West Midlands Safari Park two years ago has left the popular attraction to take part in a breeding programme.
Manilow has gone to live at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, where he will be included in a programme helping to support the future of Grevy's zebras.

The popular attraction in Bewdley announced the news on social media, saying it had been a privilege to watch Manilow grow and he would be missed.

But staff said they were also excited to see him play an important role in the conservation of his endangered species.
The post on Facebook today said: “Bye, Manilow! Manilow has safely arrived at his new home at Chessington World of Adventures Resort, where he'll begin an exciting new chapter as part of the EEP breeding programme, helping to support the future of Grevy's zebras.
“Born here at the park in 2024 to mum Akuna, it's been a privilege to watch Manilow grow, and while he'll certainly be missed, we're excited to see him play an important role in the conservation of his endangered species.
“With only around 3,000 Grevy's zebras remaining in the wild, every individual is incredibly important.
“Carefully managed breeding programmes like this help to maintain healthy populations and give this remarkable species a brighter future.”
