Chaos on the trains again this morning after incident

Services between Birmingham Snow Hill and Kidderminster were forced to terminate early at Stourbridge Junction, with rail replacement buses running between Stourbridge Junction and Kidderminster while the disruption continues.

Commuters travelling into Birmingham during the morning rush hour were urged to check before travelling, with delays and cancellations expected across parts of the network.

The disruption affected passengers travelling from stations including Kidderminster, Hartlebury and Worcester, with many early morning services either delayed, revised or cancelled altogether.

The line has since cleared and reopened; however, residual delays remain as the service recovers.

A West Midlands Railway service spokesperson said: “Emergency services between Droitwich Spa and Kidderminster.

“The line is clear and reopened. Residual delays will occur as service recovers itself.

“Ticket acceptance and road transport will remain until the service is fully recovered.”
