Plan for electric vehicle chargers at Telford retail park lodged with council planners
Planners were told the design has been carefully considered to minimise visual or environmental impact.
Plans to add 16 electric vehicle chargers to a Telford retail park have been lodged with council planners.
Hampshire-based InstaVolt Ltd has lodged an application for the chargers, a feeder pillar, a CCTV post and one substation at the Telford Forge Retail Park off Colliers Way, Old Park.
The feeder pillar - a central distribution hub for the charging points - and the CCTV camera are described as ancillary equipment to support the operation of the chargers and substation.
InstaVolt has told planners that the design has been carefully considered to minimise visual or environmental impact and to comply with relevant local planning policies.
Officials at Telford & Wrekin Council will decide on the application after a period of public and specialist consultation.
More details are available on the council’s online planning portal (reference number TWC/2026/0203).
