Teen motorist who refused to give blood sample must pay hundreds
Magistrates also impose road ban on young driver for failing to comply with cops request.
A teen motorist who failed to give a blood sample to police has been ordered to pay hundreds of pounds.
Sam Yeomans, aged 19, was asked for a sample by officers in Telford on June 26 this year, but failed to provide one.
Yeomans, of Mercers Lane, Radbrook, Shrewsbury, pleaded not guilty to failing to provide a specimen for analysis, but was found guilty at Telford Magistrates Court.
Magistrates banned Yeomans from driving for 12 months and handed out a £180 fine.
Yeomans was also ordered to pay £650 in prosecution costs and a £72 victim surcharge, resulting in a total legal bill of £902.
