Powys man to face trial over indecent children photographs next year

A Powys man has denied three charges of making indecent photographs of childen.

Joe Atkinson will stand trial on the matters in June 2027.

The 36 year-old of near Moity Farm, Llowes appeared at Merthyr Tydfil Crown Court last week.

He pleaded not guilty to making four category A indecent photographs of children between January 2 2024 and May 19 2025, making one category B indecent picture of a child between January 2 2024 and October 12 2025, and making one category C indecent image of a child between June 18 2024 and October 12 2025.

Her Honour Judge Lucy Crowther adjourned the case for a trial on June 2 2027.

Atkinson remains on unconditional bail until that date.
