Police Commissioner plans summer of attendance at major events to meet residents
Dyfed Powys Police Commissioner plans a summer of attendances at major events
As we head into the summer months, I am very pleased to share that the Office of the Police and Crime Commissioner (OPCC) will once again be out and about across the Dyfed-Powys area, meeting with local residents and engaging with communities at a number of key events.
These events provide a valuable opportunity for us to speak directly with people about the issues that matter most to them, listen to their experiences, and share information about the work we are doing to support safer communities.
This year, we will be attending the Royal Welsh Show, taking place from July 20-23 at the Builth Wells showground.
As one of the largest agricultural shows in Europe, it brings together thousands of people from across Wales and beyond, and we look forward to being part of this fantastic and important event once again.
We will also be present at the National Eisteddfod of Wales, from August 1-8, being held in North Pembrokeshire. The Eisteddfod is a huge celebration of Welsh culture, language and community and provides a fantastic opportunity to connect with a wide and diverse audience.
Later in the summer, we will be attending the Pembrokeshire Country Show on August 19-20, another key event in the calendar where we can engage with local residents and visitors alike.
At each of these events, the OPCC will be working alongside Dyfed-Powys Police, sharing a joint presence to provide a coordinated approach to engagement. Members of the OPCC team will be available to speak with you, answer questions and provide information about our work, including opportunities to get involved in our volunteer schemes.
I would encourage anyone attending these events to come and speak with us. Your views are incredibly important and help shape the work we do.
I look forward to meeting many of you over the summer and continuing these important conversations.
