The 41-year-old sex predator faced justice at Shrewsbury Crown Court after raping, violating and pimping out the girl over several years after "charming and sweet talking" her as a girl.

It comes 12 years after Ali and his brother Ahdel were jailed for abusing teenagers as young as 13 in Telford and trafficking them around Britain.

On Monday Judge Peter Barrie sentenced Ali to 12 years in prison with an extended licence period of eight years.

He told Ali: "You have shown no remorse at all. There continues to be a high risk that you may cause serious harm to young females through the commission of further offences against them," adding that he must remain categorised as a "dangerous offender".

A harrowing witness statement from the victim, a woman now in her 30s who sat in court holding onto a family member, was read by prosecutor Steven Perian KC.

In it, she said: "He saw a young vulnerable child and groomed me into thinking I loved him. The fact he pleaded guilty comes as no satisfaction. The pain is still there."

In these latest proceedings, Ali denied charges relating to this victim but admitted to several counts on the second day of a trial.

He eventually admitted to two counts of rape, one of trafficking for sexual exploitation and three counts of sexual activity with a child.

The court was previously told Ali once sexually abused the victim in public while a dog walker looked on in disgust; and how the victim would be bombarded with phone calls from random men asking: "How much do you charge?"

Ali "befriended" the girl, plied her with vodka and Red Bull and made her "fall madly in love" with him, the court was told. He would have been in his early 20s at the time.

"He charmed her and got her to fall in love with him to the extent she was besotted with him," said Mr Perian.

Previously, video footage was played to the jury of the victim tearfully giving evidence in a police interview, saying she "hates herself".

However, if it was not for her bravery in coming forward to help prosecute Ali, there is a chance he could have been freed this month. His custody was due to be reviewed by the Parole Board.

The court also heard how she first met Ali when she went to the house of a woman in the Wellington area with a friend and neighbour, who was older than her.

The house was frequented by men including Ali, who would "drink and smoke weed".

The victim said that Ali, previously of Portland Road, Birmingham, was "nice at first". But not long after they started getting to know each other, Ali told her he would "**** you when you turn 16".

However, Ali did not wait until she was of legal age to use the girl for his sexual gratification.

He took the girl to various places for sex himself and to pimp her out to others, including hotels near Telford town centre, places in Wellington including his mother's house in Regent Street, Constitution Hill and a takeaway; a Chinese takeaway in Oakengates and a location in Stoke-on-Trent.

He also took her for sex at an address in Hurleybrook Way, Leegomery, where a 2007 murder victim - 45-year-old Barry Evans - used to live. Mr Evans was stabbed to death by his partner Wendy Walters, who was 43 at the time of her conviction in court the following year. Ali is alleged to have abused the victim there some time between May 2004 and October 2006.

Ali was once seen having sex with the girl in Constitution Hill by a woman walking her dog. The victim said the dog walker "looked disgusted".

The victim told how she would receive random phone calls from different men asking: "How much do you charge?". They told her that Ali had put them in touch with her.

On another occasion, the victim and three other girls were taken to a location in Stoke-on-Trent where there were other men, with one of them saying: "So, who's first?" The girls were sexually abused, one-by-one, she said.

He would also make threats, telling her he would get a girl who lived at a local hotel to beat her up if she did not do as he pleased.

The offences all took place in the 2000s, when the victim was in her teens. The rape charges relate to when she was aged 16 and 17.

At the beginning of the trial before Ali admitted the charges, a jury was sworn in with the court asking strictly for nobody who had lived in Telford between 1995 to 2015 to be on the panel to avoid prejudice to the proceedings, given Ali's known history for being a predatory paedophile.

Jacob Hallam KC, mitigating, asked Judge Barrie to take into account that Ali admitted some of the charges, meaning the victim was be subjected to cross-examination in court. But he accepted that Ali does not accept responsibility for the sex trafficking, despite admitting to the charge in court.

Judge Barrie thanked the victim for her bravery in coming forward.

"I acknowledge the great courage it must have taken to come forward to the police and to relive all this.

"Thank you for everything you have done to help the criminal justice procedure to take its course."

Ali will be on the sex offenders' register for life and also subject to a sexual harm prevention order.
