Ishfaq Hussain: Tributes to taxi driver as Telford murder probe continues

Police investigations are today continuing after a taxi driver died in a crash.

Floral tributes have been placed at the scene. Ironbridge Road, where the crash happened, was taped off during investigations on Tuesday.

Ishfaq Hussain died on Monday night when his taxi, a red Skoda Octavia, hit a tree on Ironbridge Road in Madeley.

Tributes have poured in on social media after the Go Carz driver was named.

Kyle Pugh said: “He was a great guy. I had the shop in Regent Street for a while and he was always polite and happy. It is such a huge loss to the community down there, he was so respected.”

June Taylor said: “Thinking of the family at this very sad time. Rest in peace, a very polite man.”

Two women, aged 37 and 18, and two men, aged 31 and 18, were arrested on suspicion of murder on Tuesday but were released under investigation on Thursday. To help police call police on 101.
