Conman rapist jailed after AI 'lovebomb' for unsuspecting woman on social media
Puma contacted women on social media using an account for the ‘Welsh Wizard’
A convicted rapist “love-bombed” a woman he had contacted on social media – creating AI images of them getting married, a court heard.
Nathan Puma, 34, lately of Rhayader, Powys, used a fake name and date of birth and lied that he had been in the army, Mold Crown Court was told.
However, a friend of the woman had shown her a newspaper story about the conman’s past.

He had previously got a hospital job and claimed he won the Victoria Cross.
Prosecutor Karl Scholz said the woman described being “love-bombed” and that he had broken her trust in people.
Puma was jailed for 20 months after admitting eleven breaches of a sexual harm prevention order and five of failing to comply with notification requirements.
The court heard he was locked up for rape in 2012 and was also a convicted fraudster.
Puma had previously made fraudulent loan applications for £51,000 after meeting a mum and using the name “Jason.”
Mr Scholz said breaches in the present case involved the use of Snapchat and TikTok by Puma, who called himself the “Welsh Wizard.”
He also had a virtual private network to hide his online identity.
He was in contact with a number of women, lying that he was a fireman, in the army or had his own business. The court heard the messages were sexual in nature.
Alexa Carrier, defending, said: “He does recognise the seriousness of the charges and is remorseful for them.”
Puma had a supportive partner who was at court.
Ms Carrier said he now wanted to earn an honest living.
Recorder David Elias KC said a sexual harm prevention order was made in August and there were eleven breaches within weeks.
Puma had failed to disclose a sexual relationship with a woman.
The judge said he accepted Puma had shown some “minor insight” into his offending but there was a high level of "sexual preoccupation."
He added: “I accept there is a high risk in your case, particularly a very high risk of sexual reoffending.”
