Grade-II listed bridge in Shropshire village to close 24 hours a day for repairs after crash
The closure will be enforced 24 hours a day
An historic bridge in a small village near Shrewsbury will close for around a week in August following a crash.
The Grade II-listed Condover Bridge, which carries Station Road over the Cound Brook, will be closed from August 3 to August 10 for essential repairs.
Work includes taking down and rebuilding the right end of the upstream parapet and general repointing following a road traffic collision.

Shropshire Council said the closure will be in place 24 hours a day in order for the work to be carried out safely.
Access over the bridge for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained throughout the works, and access to frontages will be maintained up to the bridge closure.
A full diversion route will be in place while the work is under way, pointing drivers towards the A49 via Dorrington and Bayston Hill.
The full diversion map is available online on the One Network website, where any changes will also be displayed.
