A Telford nightclub has reopened under new management after closing its doors more than four months ago.

42s, in the centre of Oakengates, closed in November but is now welcoming revellers again under the name Insomnias.

The club is under the management of a new team led by operator Youram Agel, general manager Emma Brian and promoter Nathan Muench.

Mr Muench said the building had undergone a makeover, cut its drinks prices and was hoping to welcome new clubbers as well as former 42s fans.

House DJs at the club, which is open Fridays and Saturdays and some Thursdays, are Telford FM's Paul "Shuttsie" Shuttleworth and Telford DJ Adam Jackson.

Mr Muench said he was pleased with the new look.

He said: "It is more minimalist now, it looks much more sophisticated.

"I think the future is going to be good for the club.

"We have injected some new life into the building and are taking a new outlook on how the club should be managed.

"The old 42s was good in its heyday but clubs have to change and you have to raise the bar."

Admission normally costs £5 but until May 7 visitors with adverts for the club cut from the Shropshire Star can enter for free and get a free cocktail or shot.
