Nick and Jen Barratt, from Oakengates, are delighted to be the new owners of Truffles Cafe, located on the Wharfage.

It comes after the previous owners, who spent 18 years at the helm, decided to retire and handed over the reins to the couple.

They wrote on social media: "It’s been our life and the staff are our extended family, so it’s an emotional time, however we are handing over to Jenny and Nick who share our passion for a family owned, successful business."

Nick and Jenny have been running the cafe since Monday and say the community has been really welcoming to them.
