Appeal hearing set for 96-home development in Cressage rejected by Shropshire Council
In May, planning officers at Shropshire Council rejected a scheme by Raby Estates to build 96 homes in Cressage.
Developers behind a 96-home development on the banks of the River Severn that was rejected by planners at Shropshire Council, are appealing the decision.
In May, planning officers at Shropshire Council rejected a scheme by Raby Estates to build 96 homes in Cressage, near Much Wenlock.
The site earmarked for the development is an 8.6-hectare piece of land which would have been accessed off Shore Lane and would have included a new park area.

But planners turned down the scheme saying the proposed location was on the outside of the development boundary for Cressage - and the estate would have a negative impact on the character of the village.
But Cressage Harley Sheinton Parish Council say an appeal has been lodged and a hearing before a government appointed planning inspector is due to take place early next year.
The parish council said the public inquiry will take place on Tuesday January 19, at 10am at The Guildhall in Shrewsbury.
