Three people including teenager taken to hospital for suspected smoke inhalation after house fire in Telford
Three people were treated for suspected smoke inhalation and taken to hospital after a house fire in Telford.
Firefighters worked past midnight yesterday and into this morning (January 21) to extinguish the fire at a terraced house on Woodcroft in Woodside.
The Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service received a call at 11.14pm reporting the incident and sent two fire crews from Telford Central and Tweedale fire stations to the scene.
An operations officer was also in attendance.
Crews discovered a fire which originated in an electrical cupboard on the exterior of a terraced house and had spread to the house itself.
Firefighters used breathing apparatus, a covering jet and hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
The West Midlands Ambulance Service was called at around 11.40pm and sent one ambulance.
A spokesperson said: "We were called by fire colleagues to a property fire on Woodcroft in Woodside, Telford at around 11.40pm and sent one ambulance to the scene.
"On arrival, crews found three patients. A man, a woman and a teenager were all treated for suspected smoke inhalation and conveyed to Princess Royal Hospital for further treatment."
The incident was under control by 12.04am.
