Fieldbounce Music Festival will take place for the first time on May 5, with the line-up already boasting the likes of Scouting for Girls, Fuse ODG, Dappy, Danny Howard and Bez from the Happy Mondays.

Now organisers are putting on a dance competition called 'Stomp The Yard'.

The competition will take place during the early afternoon and will involve dance schools from the North West and Midlands regions.

It is being run by Chloe Yeomans, a local dance teacher with over ten years experience in the industry.

She said: "Providing performers with the opportunity to compete at a music festival alongside well-known artists will be an amazing opportunity."

Trophies, gifts and cash prizes will be handed to winners and runners up.

Shawn Melusi, CEO of Fieldbounce said: "Stomp the Yard will add a unique element to the festival and is also a chance to manifest our local talent."

If you are interested in participating in the competition email chloe.e.yeomans@hotmail.com.

It comes after a comedy tent was added to the festival line-up, with The Comedy Agency bringing a range of comedians to the event, including Rob Rouse, George Zach and Josh Pugh.

Earlier this month Mr Melusi said the festival was attracting interest not just locally, but from all over the country.

He said: "Ticket sales are going good, now we are focusing on marketing and being 79 days away people are starting to fully commit.

"A lot of people have not seen the product across Shropshire and with our price so cheap we will attract our target number especially with all the cities that are local.

"Strange enough more sales are coming from London and the south than local at the moment."
