A new restaurant is to open in Bridgnorth after a venue which featured on national television closed.

Nomis will create about six jobs when it opens. Simon Szymanski, the owner, said he was spending tens of thousands of pounds transforming the former Bambers Restaurant in St Mary's Street.

Bambers is believed to have closed in June, after it was featured on the Channel Five show The Restaurant Inspector. Mr Szymanski, who lives in Worfield, near Bridgnorth, said he would serve classic British food with a twist.
