iCAUR broadens range with new V25

Chinese brand will be launching in the UK early next year.
iCAUR has increased its line-up of cars with the V25.
The new Chinese brand sits underneath the wider Chery umbrella alongside others such as Omoda, Jaecoo and Lepas. It’s set to launch in the UK early next year with its flagship V27 SUV.
It has now announced an expansion of the range with the V25, which arrives as a smaller alternative to the V27. Like that larger model, it has a boxy, utilitarian design with circular headlights and a square grille.

At the rear of the car appears to be a side-hinged door on which is mounted a spare wheel with an integrated brake light in the middle. A tow bar appears to show that iCAUR expects drivers to use their V25 for towing, too.
Early images of the V25’s interior show a large central screen and a driver’s display; though, in a significant change from other Chinese-made models, it has a wide variety of physical controls, including rotary dials below that primary touchscreen.

There are also chunky grab handles at the sides, while the steering wheel incorporates physical controls for easier use on the move.
There’s no word on what type of engine setup will power the V25, though it’s likely that it’ll be some form of electrified setup and there’s a chance that a plug-in hybrid system could be used as well.
While the V27 has been confirmed for launch next year, it is not clear whether or not the V25 will come to the UK. However, given the speed at which other Chery brands have rolled out their models here, it’s likely that the V25 will be in the country soon.
