Volunteers have been working tirelessly at the White Lion in Ash Magna, near Whitchurch, to get ready for opening.

Judith Griffin, head of the volunteer committee, said: "We got hold of the keys two weeks ago and since then we have probably had between 15 and 30 volunteers day day working hard to get the pub ready for re-opening.

"We can't wait to serve that first pint of beer - we will all be celebrating."

Since the end of April the pub has undergone an extensive refurbishment, including getting new bars and toilets.

The next stage of the plans include refurbishing the restaurant, kitchen and beer garden.

The bar will be open to the public from 5pm.
