The Three Tuns

The Three Tuns in Bishop's Castle is ranked alongside taproom and breweries in 30 countries across five continents in the travel publisher's Global Beer Tour.

The book aims to reveal the best locally-produced beer, researched and compiled by a network of network of beer-loving travel writers and journalists.

The Three Tuns is recognised as among the independent microbreweries that spearheaded the revival of real ale in the UK in the past decade.

It is thought to be the UK’s oldest brewery, first licensed in 1642, but has really taken off since being rescued from dereliction by the late Bill Bainbridge in 2003, at a time when cask ale was on the decline.
