'We are excited for this next chapter' - Training academy to relocate across Shrewsbury later this year

A training provider has announced plans to relocate across Shrewsbury later this year.

Renu Training Academy, which is currently based in Dorrington, has struck a deal to take 3,464 sq ft of space in Sycamore House on Shrewsbury Business Park.

The academy was founded in 2016 and initially provided accessible vocational education in hair and beauty for young people and adults.

It now also supports pre-16 learners through alternative provision delivered within secondary schools across Shropshire.

With the addition of these new premises, the firm said it would be able to support more pre-16 learners alongside its established post-16 programmes.

The relocation will also see the academy expand into a broader range of fields including health, childcare, hospitality, catering and animal care.

Founder Gail Smallman said: "We are looking forward to starting delivering training in our new premises.

"Due to the size, we can offer training to more people and accommodate more sectors.

"We are looking forward to being part of the Shrewsbury Business Park community and very proud of the progress we have made.

"Dorrington was our starting point and now, with the growth and impact we have had on young people, we are excited for this next chapter."

Shrewsbury-based property agency Towler Shaw Roberts marketed the property and acted on the letting.

Apprentice surveyor Josh Hyde said: "We are delighted to have completed a letting to Renu Training Academy to relocate from Dorrington to Shrewsbury later in the year once a fit out of the new premises is complete and we wish the company continued success."
