Shropshire media future mapped out
The changing landscape of the media in Shropshire was laid out for county businesses at the latest meeting of the Shropshire Business Partnership.
Marking its first anniversary at Shrewsbury Town FC's Greenhouse Meadow stadium on Friday, the fourth quarterly meeting of the county-wide business group saw the Shropshire Star's new editor Martin Wright address businesses on the plans for the future of the paper.

Meanwhile, Connecting Shropshire's project leader Chris Taylor spoke about how a £16 million investment by Shropshire Council with BT will deliver hi-speed fibre broadband to 93 per cent of homes and businesses in Shropshire by 2016.
And BBC Radio Shropshire's managing editor Tim Beech spoke about the changing face of radio and the BBC.
The event attracted around 70 guests from the local business community, who were keen to hear how the world of communication is changing and developing for county businesses in the media industry.
SBP chairman Nick Chavasse said: "Understanding how we can maximise the benefit that good communications and intelligent use of the media can have on each of our businesses is critical to our future economic success in Shropshire."
"We are fortunate to have three experts in their respective areas of business communications which will help us to keep ahead in the markets we serve.
"We have the best media outlets in the county and once we get the best high speed broadband as well, it will really transform how we use communications."
