Paula Wiggan has returned to Wheatlands Care Home, where her career with Barchester Healthcare began in 2001 when she joined as a care assistant.

She quickly progressed to senior care assistant before taking a break to raise her family. Paula returned to Wheatlands in 2007 as a senior care assistant and continued to build her career in care.

In 2017, she returned to Wheatlands full-time as a senior care assistant before being promoted to deputy general manager the following year.

Paula then took the next step in her career in 2021, becoming general manager at Barchester's sister home, Field House in Church Stretton.

Now, in June 2026, she has returned to Wheatlands to take on the role of general manager.

Having lived in Broseley all her life, Paula has strong links with the local community and has spent much of her working life caring for others.

Her experience and knowledge of care, along with her long association with Wheatlands, will see her lead the team and support residents and their families.

Wheatlands provides residential and dementia care for up to 46 residents, offering services ranging from respite care to long-term stays.
