Llandrindod Wells businesses can find out more about shop front grants at a meeting

Llandrindod Wells businesses keen to express an interest in bidding for a shop front grant, can attend a meeting on Thursday, October 29.

Llandrindod Wells Town Council has been asked to approach local business owners, landlords and residents within the designated town centre to establish whether they would wish to express an interest in the Transforming Towns Shop Frontage scheme.

The scheme is based on a 70 per cent grant contribution and 30 per cent funding from the property owners.

The funding can be used to support a range of property enhancements including flood defences and new shop front work.

Similar schemes have been run in Builth Wells, Rhayader and Knighton.

Anyone in Llandrindod Wells who may like to express an interest can go along to an informal meeting at the town council offices, Temple Chambers on South Crescent, Llandrindod Wells on Thursday, October 29 at 6.30pm.

A spokesperson said: “An expression of interest is not a guarantee of funding. The town council awaits notification of funding in April 2027.

“Anyone wishing to apply will be expected to obtain quotes and complete an application for submission to the town council.”
