Isle Court Nursing Home secures national recognition at industry awards
Shropshire provider recognised for innovation and quality in care services
Isle Court Nursing Home in Bicton, Shrewsbury, has won a national Garden Landscape Award at the Housing with Care Awards. The home provides nursing, dementia, palliative, respite and day care, and benefits from landscaped gardens and countryside views.

The Housing with Care Awards recognise excellence in accommodation and services across the care sector, highlighting innovation and achievement.
Isle Court was shortlisted in five categories, with recognition for head chef Matthew Roberts, frontline leader Jude Ogbeide, home manager Claire Harris and group facilities manager Rob Clarke. These included The Chef Award, The Frontline Leader Award, The Building Design Award and The Care Handyman Award.
The winning garden project was led by the home’s design team of Claire Harris and Simon Moore, securing the national title.
The grounds are maintained year-round, with an area left to grow naturally for wildlife, along with bird hides for residents to observe the habitat. The gardens are a source of pride for residents and staff, and the wilder area has attracted dragonflies, butterflies and a wide variety of birds. A woodland garden includes two bug hotels, hedgehog houses, a library and a pond with frogs and ducks for families to enjoy.

Claire Harris said: “We were delighted that all our efforts have been acknowledged by winning The Garden Landscape Award.”
She said the home was proud to have been shortlisted from thousands of applicants.
