Stunning fightback from Childs Ercall

Childs Ercall staged a stunning late fightback to claim the Mercian League Premier Division spoils in a dramatic clash with Oswestry Town.

Town looked destined for a three-point haul as they led 5-2 with just five minutes remaining thanks to a four-goal salvo from Chris Bishop and one from Jordan Gerrard.

But a sensational late rally from Ercall saw them fire home four times to snatch a 6-5 success.

Colum Dunphy and Andy Rich both struck twice for Ercall with Ben Hughes and Joe Salt completing the scoring.

Allcott, who look like a side in full force at the moment, brushed aside AFC Bridgnorth Reserves 7-0 away from home.

Wroxeter Rovers recovered from 3-1 down at half-time to beat Oakengates Athletic 5-3.

A double blast from Matty Ryan helped Rock Rovers cruise to a comfortable 5-0 success against Shifnal Unted.

Tom Sayce, Jordy Wellard and Mike Parry added the other goals. Prees were also big scorers as they beat Church Stretton 7-3.

Wrockwadine Wood struck four times without reply in their clash with Madeley Sports while Hodnet and Broseley shared the spoils 1-1.

In Division One, Bishops Castle beat Wrockwadine Wood Reserves 4-0.

Table-toppers Clee Hill United continued their good start with a 3-1 success over newly-promoted Gobowen Celtic.

Wellington beat Spalaig 3-0, while Brown Clee celebrated a 2-1 away win at Oakengates Rangers.

Division Two new-boys Coven United picked up three points courtesy of a single-goal success over Claverley.

Broseley Reserves lost 2-0 at home to Riverside and Madeley Sports Reserves thrashed Denso 11-0.

The goals continued to flow as Randlay Casuals beat Craven Arms 7-3 and St Martins Reserves won 8-2 at Oswestry Reserves.
