Lee Mills has returned to Shropshire football – just two weeks after resigning as Bridgnorth manager.
Former £1m Premier League player Mills has joined Matt Burton as joint boss at Midland Alliance outfit Ellesmere Rangers.
Burton has been searching for regular assistance since his assistant boss Andy Mulliner took the goalkeeping coach’s role at first Port Vale and now Bury, while family and business commitments mean Mills’ No 2 Tony Dinning will not be involved next season.
“With my commitments away from football I needed some help and teaming up with Lee seemed ideal,” said Burton. “I’m only 34 and am still learning and Lee’s career in the game is fantastic so I’m sure it will work out well.”
Mills, who applied for the vacant Stafford Rangers job but was over-looked, is delighted to seal his return to football.

Shame to see him leave Bridgnorth, but fairplay to Lee for sticking around and getting straight back into management.
