Woman pedestrian seriously injured in Oswestry collision

A woman was seriously injured in a collision with a car on the edge of Oswestry.

The accident happened on the Oswestry bypass on the Whittington island, at the junction with the A495 at 10.50am yesterday.

The pedestrian, in her 30s, suffered a broken leg in the collision with the black BMW car.

An air ambulance landed close to the scene and paramedics immobilised the patient's leg before she was taken by land ambulance to the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital.
