Man's body found in Oswestry after police alerted by neighbour

A man's body was found after concerns for safety were raised by a neighbour in Oswestry.

West Mercia Police today confirmed they attended a property in Beatrice Street yesterday afternoon, where they found the body of a man thought to be in his late 20s.

Police spokesman Paul Roberts said: "I can confirm police attended a property on Beatrice Street, Oswestry, yesterday afternoon after concerns for the safety of a man were raised by a neighbour.

"The body of a man believed to be in his late 20s was found by police."

Mr Roberts said formal identification is still yet to take place and the death is not being treated as suspicious.
