Four fire crews battle Ludlow barn blaze

Four fire crews were tackling a barn blaze near Ludlow on Saturday night.

The fire started at about 6.20pm and crews from Bridgnorth, Craven Arms, Ludlow and Cleobury Mortimer were sent to the barn in Middleton.

The firefighters used hosereel jets to tackle the blaze which had involved around 25 per cent of the stone barn and involved farm equipment.

A small amount of agricultural chemicals were near the blaze and a cordon was in place to protect the structure of the 300 square metre building.

Crews had left the scene by 9.30pm.
