Major blaze at house near Shrewsbury

Firefighters and an air ambulance crew were called to a major house fire near Shrewsbury this morning.

Emergency services were called to the property in Church Pulverbatch at around 6.45am.

Crews from West Midlands Ambulance Service, Midlands Air Ambulance and West Mercia Police attended the scene.

Seven fire appliances including the Incident Command Unit and the Incident Support Unit were mobilised from Church Stretton, Minsterley, Shrewsbury and Tweedale.

Operations, Hazmat and Safety officers are also in attendance.

Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service say the property was fully involved in fire.

Police are investigating the cause of the fire.
