Residents in Ketley are unhappy after a planning application was lodged asking for permission to allow more heavy goods vehicles, longer working hours and more waste tonnage at Recycling House in Rock Road.

Concerns have been raised about smells, noise and road safety, as HGV movements in and out of the site could rise from 100 to 150 per day if given the go-ahead.

Lawley & Overdale Parish Councillor Bill Gilmour, who is opposed to the plans, says more than 200 signatures have been collected on petitions.

The march will be held on Saturday.
