Two men were allegedly seen in a rowing boat at Belvide Reservoir, off the A5, at Stretton, near Coven, at 8.15pm on June 18 with air guns, shooting at and killing a 'Coot' bird.

The men left the area on foot when they were seen, but on inspection of their boat it was found to contain a dead Coot.

Coots are protected under the Wildlife and Countryside Act schedule 2, during the closed season.

The men are described as white, one with dark hair and one with dark shaved hair. Both were wearing camouflage clothing.

Anyone with any information is asked to call 101.
