Mr Blent, aged 35, has not been seen since the early hours of Thursday, March 17, at his home in Moneybrook Way, Meole Brace.

Officers were today making house calls in the Meole Brace area as the search continues.

Police have described Mr Blent as a "high risk missing person". He is white, around 6ft 1in, of heavy build, with short dark hair. He was last seen wearing blue jogging bottoms, a grey jacket and blue and white trainers.

It is thought he may still be in Shrewsbury but he also has links to Bridgnorth.

Police said his family was extremely concerned, as it is out of character for him not to be in contact for such a length of time. Further concerns were raised as he has failed to collect regular medication.

Anyone who has seen Mr Blent or who may have any information about his whereabouts is urged to contact West Mercia Police on 101. Alternatively contact the Missing People charity on 116 000.
