Elderly Telford couple threatened as masked robbers force way into home

A Telford couple in their 70s were threatened by masked robbers who forced their way into their home and demanded money.

The robbery happened at about 9.30am yesterday at a home in East Road, Ketley Bank.

Kieren Bodill, spokesman for West Mercia Police, said: "Three masked offenders forced entry to the home and made an untidy search of the property. The victims, a couple in their 70s, were threatened during the robbery and the offenders demanded money.

"The offenders took various other items of property belonging to the victims before leaving the address."

All three offenders were white men with height ranging between approximately 5ft 6ins and 6ft. They were of an average build and were wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with any information about the incident, or may have seen suspicious activity within the area at the time are asked to contact West Mercia Police on 101, quoting incident number 206s of November 7.
