Thief jailed for three years over Oswestry burglaries
A man has been jailed for over three years after committing two burglaries in the Oswestry area when thousands of pounds of jewellery and other items were stolen.
Connor Davies, 23, of Queen's Park in Wrexham appeared before Shrewsbury Crown Court yesterday, for two burglaries – one on School Lane in St Martin's and the other on Weston Avenue in Oswestry on September 18.
Thousands of pounds worth of jewellery, a tablet, a games console and a laptop were some of the items Davies stole during the burglaries.
He pleaded guilty to the offences at an earlier hearing.
DC Della Grice, the investigating officer, said: "I am extremely pleased with yesterday's outcome and hope this highlights West Mercia Police's priority of bringing offenders to justice and protecting our communities from harm.
"Burglaries have a devastating impact on victims and the offence is completely unacceptable and will not be tolerated by West Mercia Police."
