Star Witness latest - Mist rolls in for Alan's photo

Star Witness is already coming up trumps – just look at this spectacular view from the top of The Wrekin.

Alan Lees, from Little Wenlock, was one of the first Shropshire Star readers to take advantage of our new service.

Alan did just that, and sent in this amazing view above the clouds in Shropshire.

He said: "This was taken from summit of The Wrekin, very early on a misty autumn morning.

"I noticed the mist rolling in and raced up the hill to get a memorable image."

The billowing clouds appear to rolling in towards Telford like giant waves on an ocean.

Steam can also be seen above the mist from the giant cooling towers at Ironbridge Power Station.

Star Witness received more than 60 images in its first day, creating a fascinating photographic account of people's lives.

We want to show off the best photography in the region.

So, whether you're a complete novice armed with just a smartphone, a traditionalist with a Brownie or a pro snapping away on the latest Nikon, this is your chance to get your pictures seen.

Some pictures might be a spectacular scene like this one. Others might be a news story you come across, like a fire or flood.

And we also want to see pictures of yourself having fun, whether it be on a night out with friends, at a social gathering or simply baking a cake with the kids.

As well as bragging rights, the best pictures will feature in the Shropshire Star newspaper and each month one will also be rewarded with £100.
