Managers of Stoke-on-Tern Nursery, which is based at the primary school in Rosehill Road, near Market Drayton, believe their intake of six twins among their intake of 24 children is 'unique'.

Evie and Ella Brimley, from Stoke Heath, are 18 months old, Seb and Noah Marshall, of Hodnet, are two, and Daisy and Lillie Balfe, of Tern Hill, are aged four.

Cerrie Brian, who has been manager of the nursery for nine years, said: "It is unique, I think. We have had Daisy and Lillie since they were two but before then we'd never had twins before.

"It has been quite a talking point, a lot of parents have commented and said it is really bizarre that you have three in one nursery. We are all in one room so they all play together, it's like a big family here."

Although the twins are not identical, staff still have trouble telling them apart. Mrs Brian said some of them are 'very, very similar'.

"Seb and Noah are very close, we find it very difficult to tell them apart," she said.

"Their mum is brilliant, she puts them in clothes that have their names on them, she has a lady that embroiders them on.

"Daisy and Lillie are very different so we know them by their personalities and Evie and Ella are not identical at all."

Evie and Ella's big sister Sophia, four, also goes to the nursery and Mrs Brian said the girls look up to their older sister.

"It has been nice to see Daisy and Lillie progressing as we've had them since they were young," she added.

"The older ones learn from the younger ones.

"Hopefully we'll have more twins coming our way, that would be great – or we could even start on triplets."
