A judo ace from Shrewsbury, who could appear at this year's London 2012 Olympics, has been caught up in the latest earthquake to hit northern Japan.

Former Meole Brace School pupil Sarah Adlington, 25, was talking to her mum Hilary on Skype when the quake struck in Tokyo yesterday, just days after the one-year anniversary to last year's disaster which killed tens of thousands of people.

Miss Adlington is currently in the Far East taking part in a month long Olympic training camp. She was uninjured.
