A stunt company, which has featured in Hollywood blockbusters such as War Horse and Clash of the Titans, has moved to a new site on the Shropshire/Powys border.

The Centre for Horseback Combat and Stampede Stunts, now based at the Rhandregynwen Hall outdoor centre in Four Crosses, near Oswestry, has also seen its horses and riders appear in Dr Who, Pride and Prejudice and the new movie Snow White and the Huntsman, starring Kristen Stewart.

As well as performing for the cameras, the centre also stages jousting contests at shows across the country and runs courses for everything from jousting and archery on horseback to stunt riding. The centre also offers dirt buggy racing, off-road driving amphibious vehicles and Canadian canoeing.

Zana Greenwood, one of the people behind the stunt company, said they had been looking to move from East Sussex and were contacted by Mark Johannsen, from Rhandregynwen Hall, who was looking for new occupants for his riding centre.

"We wanted to expand and when we came up and saw the facilities here we were thrilled," she said.
